Gift #2: The GIFT of Righteousness!

If you are a Christian, you have been judged as righteous because of Jesus Christ: acquitted of all crimes, and declared innocent and FREE!

Why are many under a cloud of oppression and depression? Why do many lack true joy? Could it be that either they have never received the gift of righteousness? The 12 Gifts of Christmas – Gift 1

The 12 Gifts of Christmas

12 days featuring 12 gifts we receive becauseof Jesus.

Gift #1: The GIFT of eternal life!

If you are a Christian, you have Eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Eternal life is a gift given because of God’s great abounding love for you and the whole world, past and future. He doesn’t want anyone to perish and face condemnation. This is why Jesus said: “For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16-17) Continue Reading

Full of Thanksgiving

The enemy of our souls wants us to complain and grumble, but the Lord Jesus Christ reminds us to be full of THANKSGIVING!

Reality? Most of us have more than we ever need.

A simple exercise: write down 100 things you’re thankful for. As you focus on the blessings God has given, you will be overwhelmed with gratitude.

These blessings are innumerable. But remember: the enemy will take just one thing and try to convince you that you should be miserable because you don’t have it. Our common enemy is a liar from the beginning. Don’t listen to this thief.

But God is good and true forever! Listen for His still small voice whispering “Incline your ears and follow My ways. Listen to Me, and your soul shall live in good things; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you” (Isaiah 55:3)

I know this: with the Lord as my shepherd, “I shall not want.”

Bless the Lord, O my soul – worship His holy name!

Islamic State Violence driving Muslims to Christ

lebanonrefugee-family-opendoorsusa-crop has an excellent article about Muslims coming to faith in Christ in large numbers precisely because of (or in spite of) ISIS. The fact is this: Jesus Christ is using ISIS (the Islamic State) against themselves, even revealing Himself to Muslims in dreams, visions, and through fellow Christians in the Middle East.

Amir and Rasha, along with their children, had been living in tents since 2012. Amir’s mother-in-law was killed by a sniper as she went outside to get some fresh air, Continue Reading

Don’t “GIVE UP” but “TAKE UP” God’s promises for your life!

I rec’d this from a brother in New Zealand. I believe this encouragement is very timely for all of us:

When we look more closely at where many Christians are at in their lives, and what they are (or are not) accomplishing, we realize that we do have to keep encouraging one another to enable us to fulfill the calling and purpose of God for our lives. He has not called us to walk and live in defeat; to be discouraged; to give-up and become negative and defeated about life generally. Jesus came to give us much more than that! He came to give us “Life, and life more abundantly (“super-abundant, excessive, above the ordinary measure”)” (John 10:10). Know that the life Jesus gives us is so totally different ~ and far better ~ than any other kind of life that can be found this side of eternity. Do not forget that.
