This Memorial Day all across the United States, many are honoring the sacrifice of heroes who defeated enemies intent on destroying freedom. We are grateful for all the heroes who laid down their lives for others and honor their sacrifice and resolve to pay the ultimate price.
But One remains even greater than all others who have sacrificed their lives. That is Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah and Savior of all mankind.
Jesus was the ultimate hero who defeated the ultimate enemies: Satan, sin, and death! He said “Greater love has no one than this: that he lay down his life for his friends.“ – John 15:13
We should honor His sacrifice that was given for everyone, in every nation, for all time, to redeem us from the penalty of sin and offer us eternal life!
Jesus also said, “for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not persish, but have eternal life!”
How can you honor Jesus’ sacrifice? Turn to Him today, admit that you are a sinner and need His blood to cleanse your sins. Follow Him, begin learning more about this Great King who was resurrected from death and reigns in the heavens at the right hand of God the Father.
